How Do You Look?
No one wants to date a dirty slob. If you
are actively dating, or trying to actively
date, you will want to read this:
Not every woman expects her date to wear a
suit and tie. Not every man expects his date
to be in a dress. Every man and woman does
expect his or her date to be clean.
Sometimes, even if you are clean, you don't
look clean. This is a huge turn-off for
everyone. Read these simple tips to make
sure you are ready for your date.
1. Make sure you put on fresh, clean
clothes. The first time you meet someone,
they are looking and smelling. If your
clothes aren't clean, they will know. It
doesn't matter if you are going to the park
in your jeans and tee shirt. Make sure they
are fresh and clean. Using a dryer sheet in
your dryer will help your clothes smell
fresher longer.
2. Make sure you shower right before your
date. I don't care if you just showered this
morning and you are having a lunch date. If
you have just showered, you will feel better
about yourself and you will have that great
fresh smell.
3. Don't use too much cologne. You want your
date to smell you, not everyone in a hundred
block radius. If you over-do it on the
cologne, you will give the impression that
you are trying to cover up some type of
odor. Not a good impression.
4. Fingernails! Are your nails clean? You
don't have to get a manicure, although this
won't hurt, but you do need to have clean,
neatly trimmed nails. If you work in a dirty
environment and have dirt under your nails,
get rid of it. Even the dirtiest nails will
come clean if soaked in dish detergent. Get
a good nail brush and clean those nails up.
Make sure you file them so they are smooth.
5. Teeth. If your teeth need dental care, go
to the dentist. When you are talking to
someone they will be looking at your mouth.
If your teeth are messed up, you won't be
talking to them again. If your teeth are
stained or yellowed, get something to fix
this. You can have your dentist brighten up
your teeth but there are also many great
products on the market that will do this for
a fraction of the cost. Make sure your teeth
are pretty before you even consider dating.
6. How does your hair look? If you need a
trim, get one. Make sure your hair is clean
and soft. Use a good conditioner. If you
have a dandruff problem, fix it. Apple Cider
Vinegar is said to be a good rinse for
dandruff. The smell will go away when your
hair is dry. Add a little hairspray or
mousse to make sure you don't smell like a
salad.
7. Dress appropriately. If you are going to
a special restaurant, don't show up in
shorts. If you are going to the beach, don't
show up in heels. If in doubt, ask your date
what he or she will be wearing. You can
always pretend you need this information to
identify him or her. 8.
Shave. Don't go on your first date with even
the slightest stubble. If your date becomes
"touchy - feely", you don't want to be
embarrassed by the nubs. 9.
Trim your nose hairs, ear hairs, stray
eyebrow hairs. |
